Hooray for Bollywood!
Bollywood Nights, presented by Room to Read Austin and hosted by Clay Pit enjoyed a large turnout and had a fantastic energy!
Thanks to the great auction items and generous donors, the event raised enough to build a library in India, which will support almost 350 boys and girls with colorful picture books published in their local language, educational games, and a safe, fun place to learn!
Room to Read offers special thanks to the following people:

Get involved: big or small!
The last event for the year, Beers for Books at Lavaca Street Bar is on October 29! Lavaca Street Bar will donate $1 for every beer purchased which buys 1 book for a child in need. More beer = more books! We’ll have a Mack Brown autographed football and prizes for best guy/girl costumers. It will be a fun night for a good cause, and a great way to kick off Halloween weekend!

Join us for a Wedding Open House hosted by Haute Cakes Couture Desserts and As You Wish photography. Sample popular cake flavors and browse wedding images.
The Sunset Valley location of Dream Dinners held a fabulous food drive and fundraiser to benefit Caritas of Austin. The event included live entertainment from Sara Hickman, Dream Dinners demonstrations, a silent auction featuring several locally-owned businesses, Dream Dinners food (of course), adult beverages from Water 2 Wine, and dessert from The Cupcake Bar.
And, I don’t know who was in charge of ordering the weather for the afternoon, but it could not have been more perfect!

Yes, parking is a pain in the ass like ANYWHERE downtown, but Submerged is offering WICKED drink specials AND they’re bringing in catering, so we’ll make the hike up to ya!
