Room to Read Austin hosted a wonderful event, Indian Nights, at the Clay Pit. The evening was full of color, traditional music, wonderful food, and dance exhibitions from two troupes.
Great news to share! As a result of your support for our Indian Nights event last week, Room to Read Austin was able to raise enough money to build and establish a complete library in India that will be filled with books, games, and educational toys. The library will also receive three years of support, including three years of training for the librarians. …
What’s next for Room to Read Austin?
The Austin chapter has been hard at work getting ready for our next event on Friday, Oct. 30th. … Beers for Books… For each beer ordered that night, $1 will be donated to Room to Read. Room to Read Austin has partnered with Clay Pit to host Indian Nights, a fundraising event benefiting Room to Read’s programs in India and the Room to Dream campaign. Please join us for contemporary Indian cuisine, drinks, music, dancing, and a silent auction. By the end of the night, we aim to reach our goal of providing 80 years of girls’ scholarships, 20,000 books, or 5 libraries to children in India.

If you aren’t on Twitter, then you weren’t following Obama’s path to the presidency and haven’t been watching enough Oprah. Twitter answers the question, “What are you doing right now?” and allows people to share the little moments that make up who they are.
When Twitter users get together, it’s called a Tweetup!
As You Wish (@asyouwish ) plans to be at the next on sponsored by the Austin American-Statesman:
I’ll be sure to look the part of a professional photographer.
