The 12th Annual Celebration of Life luncheon hosted by the Austin Alumnae chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha was a huge success. The event featured a silent auction with over 100 amazing items, a fashion show where breast cancer survivors modeled the latest fashions, and a keynote address by Texas’ First Lady, Anita Perry.
To my ZTA sisters, thank you so much for letting As You Wish photography be part of this lovely event. Working with you all and with the fundraiser is truly an honor.
Room to Read Austin hosted a wonderful event, Indian Nights, at the Clay Pit. The evening was full of color, traditional music, wonderful food, and dance exhibitions from two troupes.
From the event organizers:
Great news to share! As a result of your support for our Indian Nights event last week, Room to Read Austin was able to raise enough money to build and establish a complete library in India that will be filled with books, games, and educational toys. The library will also receive three years of support, including three years of training for the librarians. …
What’s next for Room to Read Austin?

If you aren’t on Twitter, then you weren’t following Obama’s path to the presidency and haven’t been watching enough Oprah. Twitter answers the question, “What are you doing right now?” and allows people to share the little moments that make up who they are.
When Twitter users get together, it’s called a Tweetup!
