There are a lot of networking opportunities in Austin, but none is quite like the Austin Elite Networking. Don’t let the name fool you, these guys and gals are real, genuine, and down-to-Earth….as you can tell by their willingness to be fun in front of the camera.

NBX is a north Austin networking organization. This year, our group celebrated its 10th anniversary. In true Austin fashion, we did so with a big party designed to include anyone who had ever been a member of the group. Instead of the usual ~50 attendees, we had a massive group of ~150. That made for a very large game of Simon Says, let by Matt Stephans of Competition Unlimited. Other entertainment included a short dog performance, travel education, Feng Shui of business cards, massages, readings, and other things mystical, and, of course, updated avatar photos and a few candid shots from As You Wish! There were also several prizes and other goodies. It was a great event.

As You Wish Now a Member of Nuptial Essentials Association of Wedding Professionals (NEAWP)
This week, we joined the Nuptial Essentials Association of Wedding Professionals (NEAWP) (@neawp on Twitter) organization in Austin. It is the only Texas-licensed wedding consultant program and is one of the two main groups for wedding professionals in Austin.
We’ve been searching for a group just like this one for months. Joining was an easy decision because the group was so warm, friendly, and welcoming. The members are wonderfully talented professionals that span mostly the early stages of the wedding-planning process (planners/coordinators, venues, photographers). Every single one is collegial, respectful, and genuine.
It will be great to see the wonderful things this group can offer our professional development to improve our service to clients.
