Room to Read Austin hosted a wonderful event, Indian Nights, at the Clay Pit. The evening was full of color, traditional music, wonderful food, and dance exhibitions from two troupes.

Great news to share! As a result of your support for our Indian Nights event last week, Room to Read Austin was able to raise enough money to build and establish a complete library in India that will be filled with books, games, and educational toys. The library will also receive three years of support, including three years of training for the librarians. …

The Austin chapter has been hard at work getting ready for our next event on Friday, Oct. 30th. … Beers for Books… For each beer ordered that night, $1 will be donated to Room to Read.
